Elvin Park is a Nurse Practitioner, specializing in Geriatrics and Advanced Wound Care. He received his undergraduate nursing degree at Loma Linda University in 1996 and worked on the acute rehabilitation and post-stoke units at Loma Linda University Medical Center, which developed his passion for caring for the elderly. He received his Masters of Science in Nursing from UCLA, where the majority of his training occurred in skilled nursing facilities (SNF). After graduating in 2000, Elvin became one of the first geriatric nurse practitioners in Ventura County, practicing only in the SNF setting for Buenaventura Medical Group’s new SNF program. While working and being exposed to chronic non-healing wounds, Elvin decided to obtain further training at the University of Washington’s Wound Management Education Program in 2004. He became board certified shortly thereafter and has since provided wound care in all patient care settings. He continued to provide geriatric care by joining SeaView IPA’s SNF Program in 2006 and then transitioned to only wound care in 2014.
Over the last 13 years, Elvin has assisted and directed the start of several wound clinics, with the latest being at the Oxnard office of Identity Medical Group in September, 2017. He has also provided wound care consulting services to SNFs and home health agencies in Ventura County. After focusing on wound care for the last several years, Elvin has returned to providing geriatric care in the SNF setting, joining Identity Medical Group’s SNF Program in July 2017.
In his free time, Elvin enjoys anything related to cooking and spends time with his wife and 2 teenage children. Being a Southern California native, he is an avid Lakers and Dodgers fan.
