Identity Medical Group is proud to announce the addition of Maria Dickey, DO to their exceptional group of health care providers. Dr. Dickey joins Identity with the goal of providing world class medicine to her community while maintaining a personal touch and small practice feel. Originally from Kalamazoo MI, she excelled through school in track and tennis, and was classically trained in voice… and still enjoys every opportunity to sing.
Completing her undergraduate degree in Microbiology at University of Pittsburgh, Dr. Dickey went on to earn her doctorate at an osteopathic medical school, Western University, Pomona, feeling a holistic approach is most consistent with her belief of treating the person as much as the disease.
Dr. Dickey then served her country as a Navy Medical Officer, where she trained in piloting both helicopters and turboprop aircraft. She also served as the Division Officer of Point Mugu Naval Air Base. During her tour as a flight surgeon, she most enjoyed the personal relationships she developed with her patients as a Primary Care physician. This inspired her to go back to residency with Community Memorial Hospital, Ventura to obtain her Board Certification in Family Medicine.
Dr. Dickey has two young children with her husband, Dr. Micah Dickey, who is also Family Physician with Identity Medical Group.
